Using Christian Odyssey in local churches
Several congregations are experimenting with ways to use Christian Odyssey in their local communities. Some purchase extra copies to distribute in waiting rooms, or for the information table at worship services.
There are potential benefits for both the local congregation and Odyssey:
The congregation puts its own information on a sticker on each magazine; in this way readers know that this attractive and informative magazine has been provided by someone in their community. The congregation grows in name recognition and (we hope) eventually in visitors and members.
The congregation is providing the gospel in print form, perhaps out of a budget earmarked for evangelism.
Odyssey gains new subscribers who (we hope) will donate some money to help pay for more subscribers.
Advertising is not only expensive, it also leads to subscribers who are widely scattered. We would prefer to add subscribers who at least have the potential of attending one of our congregations, and the best way to achieve that is to have the local congregations be involved in our advertising.
When we total printing and shipping costs, each copy of Odyssey costs roughly one dollar. Some congregations have asked for a less expensive way to let neighbors know about this magazine. We have therefore created a brochure that describes Odyssey and tells people how to subscribe. These brochures can be placed in waiting rooms, community bulletin boards, or (depending on local ordinances) even distributed door to door.

Note the blank space at left where your congregational information should be added, usually on a sticker. Actual brochures have a better print resolution. The inside panel is shown below:
